Dear family-members,

In this letter we would like to welcome you warm-heartedly as a supporter of our Foundation.

Together with almost 150 other ‘addresses’ (and behind each address often more than one family-member is hidden!) you belong to those who will be kept informed by us about the adventures of our family in the present and in the past.

It has taken some time before we were able to respond to you, for starting a Foundation is linked up with some formalities which take a little time.

All that is finished now so that we can make a start and keep you informed about the state of affairs and our plans. Therefore we would like to thank you for your patience.

So far the following issues have been realised:

• the Foundation deed was registered at the notary Mr Mulder in Aalten on 29 December 1997.
• the Foundation was registered at the Chamber of Commerce Central Gelderland in Arnhem,

number 09098460, on 31 December 1997.

• most supporters had presented themselves on 31 January 1998.
• om 14 February 1998 we had our first board meeting.

And now the coming year! What can you expect?

Well, an unpretentious and interesting start.

Unpretentious because our budget of about $ 1.500.00 does not allow for extravagances. And interesting because you can get acquainted with new stories and data.

Therefore in 1998 you may count on:

• the end of May: mailing of the first issue of our family magazine Somsen Horizon
• in the middle of August: camping-week in IJzerlo (camping site ‘t Hoftijzer)
• the end of November: mailing of Somsen Horizon nr.2.

In Somsen Horizon nr.1 you will find the services available to you (such as address-data, Internet facilities and available copy and archives-data)

In order to be able to carry out our plans we would very much like to have your donation of $ 15.00

for 1998 at our disposal. (Of course you are free to transfer a higher amount and gifts are also very welcome).
